Where is truth?

Does truth lurk in darkness or
is there a light that could help reveal truth?

Can real TRUTH ever be found?

Is there any ABSOLUTE TRUTH?
Are there ABSOLUTES to be found, anywhere?

Is TRUTH within you?
Is TRUTH within me?

In philosophy, Epistemology is the study of the sources of knowledge
and of the methods for obtaining knowledge.
There are numerous philosophical theories concerning "truth" and its sources
that have been around since the time of the Greeks.
However, few theories endure as originally devised for more than 1, 2, or 3 generations.
When the next generation realizes that the past conjectures did not answer life's questions,
a new guru makes his/her debut to the seeking souls. His/Her smooth presentation is persuasive
and is picked up by professors, publishers and a curious populace.

One of the more recent theories in epistemology is a revived, revised theory of constructivism.
This may be more descriptive than many other ideas.
Summarized it states that no two persons see the same rainbow.
Corollary 1: No two eyes see the same rainbow.
Corollary 2: The pot of gold is forever illusive.

In his book, Escape from Reason, Francis Schaeffer proposes that we have now reached the level of a cultural despair.
  He writes:
What is this despair? It arises from the abandonment of the hope of a unified answer for knowledge and life.
Modern man continues to hang on to his rationalism and his autonomous revolt even though to do so
he has had to abandon any rational hope of a unified answer.
Previously, educated man would not give up rationality and the hope of the unified field of knowledge.
Modern man has given up his hope of unity and lives in despair -
the despair of no longer thinking that what has always been the aspiration of men is at all possible.

Is there any final answer any question???

The dilemma remains: "What and where is TRUTH"?

Note: We plan to identify a solution on one internet page!

How can the question of the ages be finalized?

    The solution is unbelievably simple.

Definition:
TRUTH is what is real,
TRUTH is that which is actual,
TRUTH is what really is!!!

It is that simple!!!

        Ok - done!!!

You may say, "Not so fast."
I ask, "What else do you want?"

Again, consider the ultimate answer to the question,
      "What is TRUTH???"
Truth is that which is reality;
it is the actual;
it is the real;
      that is TRUTH.

Yes, three problems remain:
     (1) How do I know what I'm looking for?
     (2) How do I know what is actually real;
     (3) After I've found it, how do I describe it?

My analysis and description of reality may, indeed differ from yours.
That does not alter the reality of what actually is.

        So what do we do?
Human ability is limited by at least three factors:
    (1) inability to accurately observe and perceive.
    (2) inability to interpret those perceptions by a meaningful construct.
    (3) inability to communicate the construct.

Contemporary philosophy attempts to "work around" the dilemma
by defining TRUTH as being what I/you/he/she perceives to be "true."

People study philosophers and philosophies to help find a solution to this dilemma.
Also, many spend thousands on psychologists' couches attempting to "find" himself/herself.
Others try "mind" altering states, yet never "truly" finding themselves.

How could an altered state of mind help find one's reality?

Also, what about these questions:
    (1) "Can any human perceive the totality of reality;
of the total universe, of all thought, of all intent, of all action, of all reaction?"
    (2) "Can any human ever identify absolute TRUTH?"
    (3) "Is it possible for any human to describe any TRUTH that was identified?

Modern philosophers have solved the problem by a simplistic: "There is no absolute TRUTH."
Interestingly they have resorted to an absolute statement to solve the dilemma.

Thus, we have reached either an impasse or we find ourselves in a circular maze of reasoning gymnastics.
It has been said:   "Every soul is a seeking soul because there is a void in every soul."

       Question: Is this observation accurate?
Are people searching to fill a void?
If ultimate truth could be found, would that help fill the void?

Now:  the question moves to this: "Where is truth?"

An ancient sage once wrote:

"Eye hath not seen nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man
the things that God hath prepared for them that love Him.
"

According to this statement, humankind is unable to either see or hear what God does for people.

Continuing with the previous statement:

"But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:
for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
"

To be able to receive a revelation from God, would be both supernatural and enlightening.
Could it be that God has sent light for anyone who is willing to look at and receive that light?

It was Jesus Christ who stated:

"I am the Light of the world."

Concerning truth He stated:

"I am the Way,
the Truth and
the Life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
"

The following passage is a mind plaguing statement.
It was also stated by Jesus, nearly 2000 years ago.

"And this is the condemnation,
that the light has come into the world,
and men loved darkness rather than light,
because their deeds were evil.
(John 3:16)  NKJV

This brings another question: "Is humankind too fearful of that light to look at its rays?"
What about the real, actual, absolute TRUTH?
It was also Jesus Christ who defined reliable truth when He said:

" Thy [God's] word is truth."

If an individual is not fearful to look at both truth and light,
look at some of the link pages that do provide answers to the three of
the most perplexing questions concerning origins that face humankind:
What was the origin of ENERGY?
     What was the origin LIGHT?
What was the origin of DNA?
These are three basic questions that do have an answer.

Also consider a section from the recent book,  Thrice Trumpeted Truths.

JESUS: the Light of the World.    This is another thrice trumpeted truth,
because Jesus stated this on three separate occasions in the Gospel of John.
"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
(1)   I am the Light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the Light of life.
  (John 8:12)
(2)   As long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world. (John 9:5)
(3)   I am come a Light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.  (John 12:46)

The Light is a reference to Jesus' unique ministry of bringing light to all who heard Him and to all who will hear Him.
John clearly identified Jesus as being the Light.
"That [Jesus] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world(John 1:9).
John, in his First Epistle, proclaims a truth concerning God's very being as Light, and relates this to Jesus.
"This then is the message which we have heard of Him [Jesus], and declare unto you, that God is light,
and in him is no darkness at all
(1 John 1:5).
This passage and others in First John, clearly indicate that Jesus Christ is Light.
Question:
In what ways do the Scriptures provide a  Light unto my path
(Psalm 119:105)

The book, Thrice Trumpeted Truths is unique in its presentation of Scripture's truths.
Many key truths are recorded or restated three and only three times in the entire Scriptures or in a specific section of the Scriptures.
This includes God's manifestation of Himself in creation, in His person, in His revelation by Jesus Christ
and in His provision for the redemption of humankind.
Thus, God's message is frequently, clearly stated 3 times.
The book identifies key passages that clearly proclaim God's concern for the fallen humanity and
provides a message of forgiveness and the provision for a new life through Christ Jesus.

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
      (2 Corinthians 5:17)
